LAKE TAHOE, Calif. (KGO) – The 2021 ski season in Lake Tahoe has started off well with heavy snow in October, but when can you really hit the slopes?
Heavenly mountain station – Open on Friday, November 19, according to to their website.
Northstar California Resort – Open on Friday, November 19, according to to their website.
Boreal mountain station – Open Friday, November 19, according to the resort spokesperson. The resort may open earlier depending on recent snowfall.
Tahoe palisades and alpine meadows – Open Friday, October 29, according to a recent press release.
Sugar – Open Friday November 26, but possibly earlier depending on their website.
Sierra to Tahoe – Opening as soon as conditions allow. The Resort still evaluates 2021 operations following the Caldor fire.
Kirkwood Mountain Resort – Open on Friday December 3, according to to their website.
Homewood Mountain Station – Open on Friday December 10, according to to their website.
Here is a list of the dates when all of the major ski resorts in the Lake Tahoe region are planning to start operations for the 2021-2022 ski season (all dates are weather dependent):
